Indian River County is quieter and more traditional than the coast north and south of it: Vero Beach's barrier island, the John's Island and Orchid communities, and a citrus-growing interior that is still genuinely agricultural. The residential end has architectural review; the agricultural end wants cost per square foot.
The barrier island sits between the Atlantic and the Indian River Lagoon, which is the salt-from-both-sides condition that runs up and down this coast. Aluminum with a PVDF finish is the specification for island work, and we do not soften that recommendation because a steel panel priced better.
The citrus interior is a real structural panel market: packing houses, equipment barns and grove buildings, all long spans over open framing where a deck would be money spent for nothing. Those ship crated on the same delivery as anything residential in the order.
Approvals
Indian River County is outside the High Velocity Hurricane Zone - the HVHZ is Miami-Dade and Broward only - so every profile in our catalog can be permitted in Vero Beach.
SL100, SL150, NS150, M100 and M150 carry HVHZ and Miami-Dade approval, which is a higher bar than Indian River County requires, so those specs clear plan review with room to spare.
NS100, 5V, RIB and PBR are approved for use outside the HVHZ, which covers Indian River County and every other Florida county except Miami-Dade and Broward. They are fully permittable here.

Getting it there
Vero Beach is served by crated statewide freight out of Northeast Florida. It is a long leg and we will not pretend otherwise: we quote a delivery date with the order and crate the panels so they arrive straight, dry and ready to set.

PBR, in most cases. It is a structural panel that spans open purlins without a deck, so on a packing house or grove building you are buying panel, fasteners and closures and nothing else. Rib panel covers the smaller equipment barns where spans are shorter.
