Martin County deliberately grew differently from its neighbors. A four-story height limit and long-standing growth-management rules kept the coastline low-rise, so the building stock is small-scale, individually designed and heavily reviewed - closer to a collection of custom homes than a subdivision market.
That suits standing seam. On a low, wide, individually designed house the roof is a large part of what you actually see, and seam spacing, panel width and finish become design decisions rather than line items. We set those before fabrication because on this kind of work there is no generic answer to fall back on.
Stuart sits where the St. Lucie River meets the Indian River Lagoon and the inlet, and Hutchinson Island and Sewall's Point are effectively surrounded by salt water. Aluminum with a PVDF finish is the standard recommendation across essentially all of coastal Martin County.
Approvals
Martin County is outside the High Velocity Hurricane Zone - the HVHZ is Miami-Dade and Broward only - so every profile in our catalog can be permitted in Stuart.
SL100, SL150, NS150, M100 and M150 carry HVHZ and Miami-Dade approval, which is a higher bar than Martin County requires, so those specs clear plan review with room to spare.
NS100, 5V, RIB and PBR are approved for use outside the HVHZ, which covers Martin County and every other Florida county except Miami-Dade and Broward. They are fully permittable here.
