Can rib panel be used in the HVHZ?

No. The rib panel is approved for use outside the High Velocity Hurricane Zone only, under Florida Product Approvals FL24397.7 through FL24397.12. It is not approved for Miami-Dade or Broward County.

What is the most affordable way to a metal roof?

Rib panel. At 36" coverage with exposed fasteners and no clips, it covers more ground per panel and installs faster than any concealed-fastener system, which is why it is the usual choice for porches, additions, barns and budget-led re-roofs.

Can rib panel go over battens?

Yes. It is approved over 1/2" plywood, 19/32" OSB, or 1x4 wood battens at 24" on centre. The batten assembly with the enhanced fastener pattern carries the highest rating of the range at -183.5 psf.

What slope does rib panel need?

A minimum of 1/2":12" with lap sealant, or 3":12" without lap sealant.
