Pinellas is a peninsula with no inland, so we treat corrosion as the default condition - and the shallow-pitch block housing means slope is the first thing we check, not the last.

Pinellas is the most densely populated county in Florida and it is a peninsula: Gulf to the west, Tampa Bay to the east, and nowhere in it more than a few miles from salt water. There is no inland Pinellas, so we treat corrosion as the default design condition for the entire county.
The Gulf beaches - Clearwater Beach, Indian Rocks, Treasure Island and St. Pete Beach - are the harshest exposure in the county and the clearest case for aluminum panels with a PVDF finish. Inland St. Petersburg and Largo are milder, but they are still salt-air environments by any reasonable standard.
The housing stock skews mid-century and small, with a great many low-slope and shallow-pitch roofs on 1950s and 1960s block homes. That constrains the profile, because not every metal system is approved down to a shallow pitch. Matching profile to slope is the first thing we check on a Pinellas quote rather than the last.
Approvals
Pinellas County is outside the High Velocity Hurricane Zone - the HVHZ is Miami-Dade and Broward only - so every profile in our catalog can be permitted in St. Petersburg.
SL100, SL150, NS150, M100 and M150 carry HVHZ and Miami-Dade approval, which is a higher bar than Pinellas County requires, so those specs clear plan review with room to spare.
NS100, 5V, RIB and PBR are approved for use outside the HVHZ, which covers Pinellas County and every other Florida county except Miami-Dade and Broward. They are fully permittable here.
