Metal roofing in Pensacola
Pensacola is the far western end of Florida, closer to New Orleans than to Jacksonville, and it has the storm record to match. Ivan in 2004 and Sally in 2020 both came ashore essentially on top of the city, and Escambia County owners have a long institutional memory about which roofs came through and which did not.
Downtown Pensacola and the North Hill and Seville historic districts hold some of the oldest housing stock in Florida, much of it with the steep pitches and simple gable forms that 5V crimp was made for. Permitting in Escambia County
Escambia County is outside the High Velocity Hurricane Zone - the HVHZ is Miami-Dade and Broward only - so every profile in our catalog can be permitted in Pensacola.
SL100, SL150, NS150, M100 and M150 carry HVHZ and Miami-Dade approval, which is a higher bar than Escambia County requires, so those specs clear plan review with room to spare.
NS100, 5V, RIB and PBR are approved for use outside the HVHZ, which covers Escambia County and every other Florida county except Miami-Dade and Broward. They are fully permittable here.
