Broward County
What we supply in Fort Lauderdale
Broward is inside the High Velocity Hurricane Zone, so this page lists only the profiles that can lawfully be installed here. The rest of the catalog stays out of the county.
The structural commercial panel: it spans open purlins with no deck underneath, and the 24 ga is HVHZ and Miami-Dade approved.
See PBR โWe verify the roof onsite before fabrication, so exact-length panels and trim fit the first time.

Metal roofing in Fort Lauderdale
Broward County is inside the High Velocity Hurricane Zone, and that is the first fact about roofing here rather than a footnote. Product approval, attachment and the approved-products list are all stricter than the rest of Florida, and a panel that is straightforward to permit in Orlando may simply not be permittable in Fort Lauderdale.
Fort Lauderdale itself is a canal city, with roughly three hundred miles of waterway, the Atlantic to the east and the New River running through the middle. Nearly everything here is on salt or brackish water, so aluminum with a PVDF finish is the substrate and finish we recommend across the county rather than only along the beach.
The building stock is dense and mixed: mid-century single-story homes in Victoria Park and Wilton Manors, low-rise condominium buildings along the beach, and marine and light-industrial property around Port Everglades and the airport. Standing seam covers the residential and architectural work, and structural panel covers the commercial spans.
Approvals
What can be permitted in Broward County
Broward County is inside the High Velocity Hurricane Zone. That is a legal boundary, not a marketing one, and it decides what may go on a roof here. Of the panels we stock, SL100, SL150, NS150, M100 and M150 carry HVHZ and Miami-Dade approval and can be supplied and permitted in Fort Lauderdale.
PBR is approved for the HVHZ in some gauges only - the 24 ga PBR carries Miami-Dade approval, the 26 ga does not. We will confirm the exact gauge and approval number on the submittal before you order.
NS100, 5V and RIB are approved for use outside the HVHZ only. We do not supply them into Miami-Dade or Broward, whatever the price comparison looks like, because they cannot lawfully be installed there. If you have been quoted one of those profiles for a job in this county, that quote is a plan-review problem waiting to happen.
The same care applies below the panel: Titaniumยฎ PSU30 carries a non-HVHZ approval, so HVHZ work needs an HVHZ-approved underlayment specified with the panel. Ask us and we will confirm the whole assembly before you order.
Approval numbers are published on each panel's page and the documentation travels with the order. See the Florida approvals library for the current documents.

Getting it there
Delivered to your Fort Lauderdale jobsite
Fort Lauderdale is served by crated statewide freight out of Northeast Florida. It is a long leg and we will not pretend otherwise: we quote a delivery date with the order and crate the panels so they arrive straight, dry and ready to set.
Panels, trim and accessories are fabricated to exact length so there are no end-laps to seal in the field, and they ship crated together rather than as separate deliveries. Add turnkey installation through ERS Installations for a fully managed metal roof in Broward County.
FAQ
Fort Lauderdale metal roofing questions
Which metal panels can be permitted in Broward County?
Only profiles that hold HVHZ approval. Broward is inside the High Velocity Hurricane Zone along with Miami-Dade, so our HVHZ-approved standing seam profiles and the 24 ga PBR panel are what we can supply here. Profiles approved for use outside the HVHZ cannot be installed in Broward and we do not quote them into it.
