Volusia County
What we supply in Daytona Beach
Volusia is really two counties. We do not quote the beachside and the Deltona side the same way, and it is worth telling us which one you are in.
The traditional Florida exposed-fastener panel, with a resting leg for thermal movement. Approved for use outside the HVHZ.
See 5V →70% PVDF (Kynar 500) finishes - the coating that holds color against Florida UV and salt air.

Metal roofing in Daytona Beach
Volusia County is a long stretch of Atlantic coast - Ormond Beach, Daytona, Port Orange and New Smyrna - with the ocean on one side and the Halifax River on the other, so most of the population lives on a narrow strip with water on both sides. Salt exposure is the default here rather than the exception.
Nicole came ashore in 2022 and did most of its structural damage along the Volusia beachside, undermining seawalls and condemning buildings in Daytona Beach Shores. Arriving only weeks after Ian, it left a coastal building stock that is being rebuilt to a higher standard than the one it replaced, and metal is a large part of that.
Away from the beach, Deltona and DeLand are inland Volusia with a completely different profile: large subdivision stock, no meaningful salt, and price-led re-roof demand. We do not quote those two halves of the county the same way, and it is worth telling us which one a job is in.
Approvals
Permitting in Volusia County
Volusia County is outside the High Velocity Hurricane Zone - the HVHZ is Miami-Dade and Broward only - so every profile in our catalog can be permitted in Daytona Beach.
SL100, SL150, NS150, M100 and M150 carry HVHZ and Miami-Dade approval, which is a higher bar than Volusia County requires, so those specs clear plan review with room to spare.
NS100, 5V, RIB and PBR are approved for use outside the HVHZ, which covers Volusia County and every other Florida county except Miami-Dade and Broward. They are fully permittable here.
Approval numbers are published on each panel's page and the documentation travels with the order, so the submittal is complete when the crew mobilizes. See the Florida approvals library for the current documents.

Getting it there
Delivered to your Daytona Beach jobsite
Daytona Beach is served by crated statewide freight out of Northeast Florida. It is a long leg and we will not pretend otherwise: we quote a delivery date with the order and crate the panels so they arrive straight, dry and ready to set.
Panels, trim and accessories are fabricated to exact length so there are no end-laps to seal in the field, and they ship crated together rather than as separate deliveries. Add turnkey installation through ERS Installations for a fully managed metal roof in Volusia County.
FAQ
Daytona Beach metal roofing questions
Should a Daytona beachside roof be aluminum?
On the barrier island and anywhere near the Halifax River, yes. Aluminum will not corrode where a fastener scratches the coating or where a cut edge is exposed, which is exactly how steel panels start to fail in that air. Inland Volusia around Deltona and DeLand is mild enough for Galvalume.
